How to clear DSTV error codes using DSTV Self-service.

DSTV is a widely satellite cable widely used in Nigeria. We all know it provides us with interesting channels and lots more and for we football lovers, DSTV supersports channels brings us live football matches be it EPL, champions leagues and lots more.
Also provides interesting channels like the mNET and also other live programs, Africa magic and all.

I noticed something just of recent that whenever you pay your DSTV subscription online either through Quckteller,  PAGA, or mobile banking platforms etc. you get to see some error codes when you turn on your decoder. Either you see “ channel not available in this country”, “your account has been suspended”, etc. this is frustrating because sometimes you will be in the middle of an interesting program, either watching football, movies or perharps zee world series (lol). There is a way we can actually clear the DSTV error codes by our self’s using the DSTV self-service without going to the nearest DSTV outlet. The Multichoice company actually know they have a lot of subscribers and its not possible to satisfy all the users and there are probability that there might be problem that’s why they introduced the DSTV self-service. Now am going to show you how to use the DSTV self-service to clear error codes by yourself.

Please note: before you can be able to use the DSTV self-service correctly you have to be logged in into your DSTV account. If you don’t have one then you can create.

To create a DSTV connect account follow the following steps

     1.       Log on to selfservice.dstv.com you can also do that by clicking HERE

     2.      Once you do that, navigate to your menu on the self-service home screen.

   

     3.       Click on Login which is the last on the list.

     4.      After that, since you don’t have a Connect Id i.e. a DSTV user account. Then click on “don’t have a connect id? Register”

     5.   Then a registration page will be brought out for you. Then fill all the required information.

     6.       After the registration then you will be able to login to your account either by your registered phone number or email and your password.

After you now have a Connect ID then you will be able to use the DSTV self-service efficiently. Now let me show you how to clear the DSTV error code on screen using the DSTV self-service.

Please Note: before you use the DSTV self-service make sure your smartcard is inserted and your  decoder is powered on and tuned to the channel that as the error code.

     1.     First of all login to eazy.dstv.com or you can do that by clicking HERE.

     2.       After that, navigate to your menu screen and login to your DSTV Connect so that you will be able to have full access to your account. And you can also login with your registered mobile number and your smartcard number.

     3.     You will see different operations you can do on your account. Your account details, payments, clear error codes etc. now click on clear error code.

     4.    Then another window will come out asking you to select the error code and the smartcard.

     5.     After that then you will get a message telling you that error code has been successfully cleared.  Within a short period of second and the channel will start displaying again.

Wasn’t that so simple! The DSTV self-service has made it for users to do different things. Do you know that when you login to your account you will be able to pay your DSTV subscription and also check your transaction details? And also pay for someone else.
